How often do you limp?

Lately very often I am so tired sometimes or get distracted by other things nothing to do on poker itself that some times I hate the way I am playing

In Cardschat freerolls, the guys clean so much, the table is shiny, so I have to play with dark glasses.

I limp with AA, AK,QJ suited early position and try to trap, it's risky but i do it anyway to take a chance knowing things might end badly, I also limp sometimes with small suited connectors like 56, 78, and my fav 10 J suited. These hands are very deceptive and when you know how to play them they're very profitable.

The good thing is knowing that there are players who will continue to play for years and years and still won't understand it!

I Sometimes Do

I limp more often very early in a tournament and whenever I believe that the chances of aggression or a raise may not occur and I have suited connectors, pocket pairs or touching high cards 10+. As it turns out, the temptation is very great when I am on the blinds since some of my chips are already committed to the pot. Sometimes, I even look out for frequently occurring or hot cards as I call them so that I can get in the mix.

One thing that really irks me about poker, is the hands I win from the muck. If this happens quite a bit when I am playing a tight game, I use that as an indicator to get a little loose and aggressive. Any two cards can win and that causes me to listen to my gut instincts quite a bit.

Limping is not great to do very often but if circumstances are favourable, it can be a very lucrative play.

You can limp 20bb or less in LP, once you're under 17 you can add MP. Any other stack depth it's just from SB...keep in mind this is GTO strategy, if you have a limping strat in your games that's working good on you. Daniel Negreanu has already mentioned he's implementing a non-GTO limping strat in the SHR games, so it's all about how well you execute post flop.

Limp the least since being aggro as far as I know has proven to be beneficial at the felt.

It also relates to a proper VPIP/PFR ratio.

But of course, hero might find situations where a limp might have the proper EV.

But as rule of thumb: Don't limp.

And most of all have fun.
