How often do you check back when SB limp and you're in the BB?

When in tournaments, a very frequent spot is, SB limps and you are in the BB.

Theory says you should re-raise it 60%+ of your hands on that situation. That would include very marginal hands.

My question is, do you have the guts to raise 3 - 5 BBs with your T7o?

I think it depends on the game you play, what is buy in, how often player folds, how tight he is.

If I sense the SB wants to see a cheap flop, I raise him 3-4BB with any two cards. If he calls - which he most often won’t - I have position and will make a C-Bet of 2/3 of the pot regardless of the flop after his check.. Overall limping is a -EV move and must be punished.

T7o is a premium hand for me. :)

If I raise , I will go for 3-3.5 bbs , sometimes I raise my super strong hands and some other times I raise super weak and non playable hands in order to be unpredictable. If the SB always limps then I may raise more frequently etc.

No, I don't play that way. Calling from sb with a good hand in hopes bb will react stupidly is something i like to do. bluffing from go is not something i do. Now if I start with a good opener that never hits, then i might represent something that falls. Betting big on pre-flop bad hand just makes no sense to me.

...when betting, the value is not the most important thing, what we should observe is how the SB plays and what his technical level was in the game... after that we will decide how to play, including post flop...
