When I make a bad beat or an ugly mistake, I lose emotional control. How do you keep calm and play well again?

I follow bankroll management, so I am always calm, easily control my emotions and do not take failures and mistakes to heart :)

I do not belong to the poker too seriously to worry about it.

Tilt is tough. For me, taking a short break to reset helps, and focusing on bankroll management gives me peace of mind. I remind myself that poker is about the long run, not just one bad hand.

I think taking a break is the best way.

Vent and then let it go. You will feel better than keeping all the frustrations inside. We are all human after all (apart from the bots).

Man, if u're not playing under pressure, like with a bad BRM plan.. you should not be playing at all, but in the other hand, when you're there at semi FT 3rd or 4th in the tournament, get AA and get it cracked, I know what it can feel like.

Honestly, I read somewhere that exercizing your body and practicing more on the next warmup session brings the BB impact down.

What I try to think is, in this guy's place, would I've played the same way? If the answer is yes then, ok, that's poker. If no, All I can do is wait to get him on the tables again!

Remind yourself that this is a game where you can make all the right decisions and still end up with the wrong result....
Recalibrate...
Take a break...
Play when you feel centered

Hi :)
For me, poker is first and foremost entertainment and my goal is just to have a good time, so I don't have any issues with self-control by default.
