How often are you pushing yourself to play solid poker?

Hello friends,

Where does one begin? Ask yourself, how do I decide which stakes are right for me?

I think this is a great fundamental question. The answer should be based on your existing bankroll and level of play. If you decide to play MTTs (muti-table-tournaments), a good rule of thumb should be that you have at least 50x to 100x the buy-in amount. The more confident you are in your playstyle the closer you can be to 50x to the buy-in amount, which translates to larger stake levels.

I decided to create a personal bank roll challenge to start with $300 and run it up to $3000. The challenge ends when I either go broke or reach the 3k goal. I decided to do this mainly for fun but also to a great way to retrain and refocus.

Thank you for reading my post and my opinion on the subject. Please feel free to share you thoughts.

• Bank Roll Challenge: $300 to $3k

It is difficult to know where it is in the 4 answers, but I consider that I am in answer 1

Any initiative is welcome, but in my memory, 1 out of 10 such posts ended in success. In the title, you can simply write "diary for discipline". Come on, drag it, you can also add rakeback bonuses and other promotions, which will make this walk easier and more enjoyable

I hear ya brotha and thanks for the insight. It's def no easy task but hopefully we can be 1 of those successful attempts. So far so good. Also I have a daily log to track my progress and fully recorded sessions for me to review and to share with interested parties. GL us, back at it again today, day 13 .

Ferguson's bankroll management for cash games is not more than 5% of the bankroll, and for tournaments up to 0.5%-2%, and he left the cash game table as soon as the winnings were 10% of the current bankroll.
