It's really hard but you have to get up and walk it off. Don't let your emotions (good or bad) affect your playing. You also have to remember that if you are playing smart, eventually the math with run in your favor. Hang in there!

Take a deep breath, if u made a stupid decision you wont forget and then go back and register in a new tournament. If it was the best decision u could make it was just bad luck.

if you feel it - run away from PC. I mean it, grab a smoke, drink tea, strech, watch porn, meditate, play Zelda. Give your self 15-30 min to chill. If you just lost good ammount of $ walk away.
If you in the middle of the level and cant do it - deep breathing, and just clear you mind, brath and no thinking about last hand, when break starts do what i described before... not at once, pick few.

sometimes I just sit out or leave the table and do something else or watch others play.

Calm, patience, tranquility, nervousness only makes things worse, anger in poker is the worst thing there is ...

Basically , I agree with all these . But I guess it is difficult sometimes to apply them when you need them most . I mean yesterday I was playing some freerolls , lost two with bad decisions , only the CC freeroll was left , I was a little nervous , I tried to calm down, I made it final table , then I made a mistake , Igot angry and then... TILT.I was shoving with many hands with no much logic . FINALLY i shoved 1010 utg and lost :( . If I had 4 minutes to relax I would have calmed down , but couldn't , so....

you cant fight it only surrender to it-i had to accept the fact its going to happen once i did that it was easier to deal with-when i go on tilt now i switch gears and take a pro-active appraoch to it-i might take a break for a bit-change games from nlhe to studd or plo-i might watch some utoobe vids or some reading material on poker-no sence trying to play thru it only to blow your bankroll
