Just been playing on PokerStars for years now never seem to be able to build bank just usually end up getting beat on river cards or person has 1-2 outs and they hit just seems rigged to me any other thoughts on this.
It's not really the game being manipulated. You are the one being manipulated. And by your own EGO. Look... I'm not offending you! As already said here in the topic, Poker is a brutal game. You need mastery and strategy more than premium hands preflop to win. And this is where our EGO sabotages us:
- EGO makes us forget that there are other players with two cards in their hands to play with. If we have a premium or very strong hand, we think we are invincible on that hand and keep calling even though the flop and turn are screaming for us to get away.
- EGO makes us despise other players' cards. Guy! If villain is putting money into the pot he is far more likely to have a good play than he is
bluffing.
- EGO makes us go All-in pre-flop. You see, I have nothing against going all-in at any stage of the game. But All-in pre-flop is lottery. You can lose. Calling all-in post-flop is risky. The guy has two cards in his hand too brother. That A6s isn't that good if there's only one A on the board.
Don't waste your time thinking about how the rooms manipulate the game to take money from you. Spend your time studying Poker and identifying and working on your strengths and weaknesses.
Then you will see that the rooms have started to ''manipulate'' the game for you to win!
