Have you ever heard of range advantage?


that is where your range is in a sense tighter than your opponents range

And higher pot equity

Being the aggressor adds alot of EV due to fold equity and position

So just becuase their range is wider doesnt mean you can expect more chips

It means your calldowns,
will overall win more times than lose.

not that your calldowns,
will win MORE Value than they will lose

Have you ever heard of range advantage?
Yeah, about that, yesterday I busted out from tournament after putting my 99 against 40+vpip villain, he made small raise, I reraised with tight image covering his stack, he called with KQ.
99 is around 11% range, actually less, which makes it 4 times tighter (well, it doesn't actually works like that, though gives some perspective).
Yes it works, but only in volume.
