I recently decided to become a good poker player. I began to take the game serious and that for me means A Lot of study and practice.
I envision a "a good poker Player" as someone who is always in control.
First they know the game inside out. Second they are always in the game and not distracted. Third, they know the other players at the table within the first 15 minutes. Forth, they ALWAYS keep emotionally level. Fifth, they recognize that a fold is a win and not a loss. Sixth, they know when they are outclassed and know when to leave a table or at very least to not get tangled up with a particular opponent as much as possible. Seventh, adjust as the game progresses or as opponents adjust. Eighth, be the most freakishly observant person that you can think of.
Anyhow, these are my goals and what I think a good player is.
