For amateur players to win some? I think its good till its a call station on me. Ha

It's always good for the game for new players to come and you wouldn't get a lot of new players if they felt its impossible to play against the more experienced. If they become a calling station you just have to adapt and make them bleed when you hold the nuts.

Of course. If only the pros win, how would I have hope?

The variance at least gives the bad players a chance for a good score.... and maybe that's all they're looking for out of the game (i.e., happy to be overall losers as long as they win something sometime...)

I have higher aspirations. I'd like to be a +EV player taking out the impact of variance.
