I am always wondering what all goes through a "players" mind when they go all in.
Are they hoping to get a call and luck into all of some players' chips? Or are they hoping you will fold and they will pick up the 40 chips from the blinds when blinds are small? Are they too afraid to actually play the hand?
I find that most times you get more chips by playing the hand not going all in. Sure I guess you are trying to "protect" your 22. If you want to get my chips you have to use a little more skill, most times anyway. lol
By not going all in, you give yourself a chance to fold a hand that looks like it is beat. Folding a hand when the table goes the wrong way is not a sign of weakness. If the blinds are high and your chip stack is low, I can see the all in move being played. But every hand you play shouldn't really be an all in hand.
I will admit though to getting frustrated not playing at all when someone continuously goes all in, and falling for it to call. Only to be sucked out by very bad hole cards.

It's not about just going all-in. It's about position, what stage is the tournament at, what's your stack, what's other players stack, what's the format of the tournament. And so on and so on....

There are various factors that determine where it's better to go all in than playing a hand starting with a raise.

In early stage people are like ; Im double or Im out if they double than play normal if they out probably they are in another MTT

It all depends on situation, what stage of tour are we playing, is it start, middle or end of tour, do I have good cards etc

Mostly people go all in at first hand in any freerolls, such a mistake, yeah you get lucky sometime but in a long term, bad choice.

I think you're playing at freerolls. No wonder. I play offline, and I have never met ever. This online poker. There are a lot of kamikaze. Especially if it is a freeroll. So don't worry be happy

4. In tournaments, when chips are thrown, you do not have more than 10 BB (big blinds) and you need to do something. This is a push or fold strategy.

After all-in, your balance will most likely change significantly, and not the fact that it's a plus, so if you do not have a goal just to tickle your nerves, you should apply the rule of the number of measurements and cuts.

First stage of freerolls often has many all-in apes, free and fast double or out.
If you have AA in this phase, you almost have to go all-in to reduce the number of callers.

During normal (tournament) play, all-in may make sence when a players stack is reduced to less than roughly 15 big blinds, see fold/shove articles.

if i have AA KK QQ i sometime not play all in at first hand. Waiting for someone raise then re raise all in.

its about what kind of tourmament you played, if you play freeroll, ppl go all in just to bet the luck ,try to stack up as many chips as they can, if you played 1000 dollars entrance, not that many ppl will go all in with u .

When you are short stacked it's your only option and then picking up the blinds and maybe a few calls is ok so is trying your luck for a double up. You need to improve your situation so you are going to have to take more risk.

In a freeroll tournament, from time to time you have to go all in to try to build a chip stack. Otherwise, later on in the tournament small blinds and big blinds will finish your chip stacks.

Well it depends very much where you play....Are you playing at cash tabels,sng tournaments, etc.For example if u play in super turbo tournament u have to go all-in in early stages and probably yo will go all-in with a card in a normal situation u wouldn't do that.So what is in people mind when they go all-in?Well to win the pot,no ? ))

I only bet everything when i'm short on chips or good cards.

I go all in allot in poker free rolls less commotion on not getting set up to lose why wait for 52 off to win before your aa loses raisem all in

Some one going all in every hand isn't a very good poker player. They man win a few hands but will be taken out by a good player eventually

I watched this all-in pre-flop hand happen yesterday:

AA vs. QQ vs. AQo. AA made AAA. QQ made QQQ. AQo took down the BIG pot with a straight.

you feel pleasure when someone does all in when you have an AA or KK on your hand

I prefer not to go in at the start, unless I am sitting on AK JJ QQ KK AA

in late stages of tourney i love all in on the button.. sometimes the blinds can mean making the money or not.. and sometimes you get lucky if they call you. but as everyone said, it depends on position.. sometimes in a freeroll i like to shove early and see if i make enough chips to take the tourney seriously or not. instead of wasting 3 hours to make nothing in 33 place

On a lot of situations a player goes all in. To make everyone fold and get the chips pre fold. To receive one call and double the chips. To coin flip for example 99 vs AKoff and many others hands are considered coin flip. Could be you have a Monster hand on the river and wants your opponents think you want to steal the pot and call your all in and you get a huge pot. And goes on and on. Many situations

very old question! I think that there are a lot of answers to it and every "little bit correct" in poker is not the only true strategy, and for this reason we like this game

The all-in play is a nice weapon to use when appropriate. It's the move that gives you the maximum amount of fold equity. It's the move that can shut down an overly aggressive opponent. It's also the move that can send you out of a tournament, so, it's probably a good idea to use it sparingly.

I believe that players who play from All in have a certain fear of facing a bad, I prefer to play with raise and to extract more independent tokens of the cards that have in the hand ... I can play with AA entering limp, trying to hide the game and to do slow

If I'm going to play freeroll on acr/black chip I'll get all in on one and see if I can double if not I'll play on the other.

There are several factors. Sometimes, to go all in is very productive at many levels.

There are sometimes too many who chances when it comes to all in, be patient.

I think we have the same doubts, I wonder what the difficulty of placing bets. or if they program so they only have "all in "on their screen.

I will go all in on occasion after considering my position and my read of the players at the table. If I have some knucklehead playing every hand aggressively and has shown he will easily call an all in. If I am holding AA and I think the player will call then I will absolutely shove and hope that the math is in my favor.

I'm afraid bad bid and go allin instead value bets.

It depends on different situations you are in specially in tournaments. some time you need to steel a blind in the later half of the tournament. some time you are really worried about to lose on ak or aq watching earlier hands when ak aq are losing on that particular day. some time you want other lose players to call with an average hand.It depends on different situation.

If they keep doing that then you'll be winning money in the long run. Let them make bad moves and just keep doing what you're doing.

It is annoying many times, like the start of a mtt or sit'n go. I usually just raise even wigh AA or KK or QQ! I like to see the turn or river or a more ideal point of the hand to make a bigger raise or all in if the bets are big.

I believe there are certain times to get all in, especially when you have good cards and realize the level of opponents, otherwise it is also when you are short stacked and need to steal blinds, in short there are many possibilities, but of course is always a risk. Hugs!

Short stacked, anything goes. If too low you can't really wait for a hand.

Well sometimes they go all in because they are bluffing. They want to run every one else.
And then there are times when they go all in because they have a good hand.

In the beginning of a tourney I'd probably only go in with Aces. If the player is being an all in jerk then Id call off with Kings and probably queens. Probably is there is not much to be won,chips are borderline worthless in the beginning stage.
