who out there would fold AA when there’s 4 all ins? Your in BB and it’s the first hand... happens to me last night! Gut feeling was telling me to fold as I just knew someone was going to hit a set! They did 😤 is it ok to even think of this move and go ahead and fold?

Yeah, this is one of those situations that you either get lucky and take out 4 players (and getting a fat stack off the bat) or, hitting the rails. I would already assume that if 4 players are all in there are going to be other possible AA, AK, KK, AQ or other pairs out there (so my AA isn't really so good at this point). If it was me, 1st hand with no other games coming up any time soon? I would have folded and lived to play on.

its ok to fold in my opinion, against 4 or more players would be hard AA to hold. but honestly, I would just fold "maybe" on the bobble, any other spot I would call, even if 8 players were involved. you couldn't wish any better start hand and lay that down is very difficult, you have in your shoulders the little angel saying "fold and the little evil saying very laud callllllll.

It's the best hand, why would you retire? you double the bet and so some will throw, it is better to try that than to withdraw with the best hand.

AA can be folded only on the bubble.

You had me at "Folding AA's"? You looked at AA and you have 4 all ins and in the sb? If you have the right brm, then it's NOT a fold, that is a happy stack off spot and buy right back in if you get stacked. I mean, you still are the favorite (assuming we are all in preflop).

If you are folding aces against a 4 way all in, you are most likely not playing with a great bankroll to begin with. This is a reload situation.

Now to be fair, was in a similar situation. I was at a WSOPC event, just busted and ran into quads in the tournament. I walked around the casino to cool my jets. I sat at a 1/2 uncapped table. Average stacks at the table were around 1500. Lots of greens and blacks from other WSOPC regs. Faced 3 allins, i was on button with pocket KK. I thought just like you, had only one buyin and just sat. I folded. I saw the action and I would have hit quads. I left the table after an orbit and swore, I'd never do that again.

It was definately a :puke: situation.

I never fold with this preflop hand. but I can make an exception before the bubble if the spot is too dangerous.

Not every poker player will be able to reset the preflop poker hand such as AA because it is considered the strongest poker hand. But even a pocket pair like AA can lose. I believe that you simply unlucky!

It's the first hand, and I'm guessing it's a freeroll? How can you fold the best hand preflop? You have to think some of the players have each other's outs. Just got to say nice hand and move on. If you're on the bubble and just concentrating on getting to the money, you can definitely find a fold.

I would not fold AA before flop ever, not even on the bubble.

It's ok to fold. If are freeroll I don't fold because many players do all-in without a good hand.

Not a freeroll sadly, it’s was $5.50 but I’m starting to see if there’s more than 3 all in in the position the chances are going down rapidly of AA holding out. (Next time I might think twice) And yes near the bubble it’s just not worth it! Think I need to be able to grow them away and not worry to much, but still very hard to do.

Then that's just a very unfortunate turn of events then. It's something where next time you may take an extra few seconds, but still make the call. Yes you are facing 3 players so you have to dodge more outs, but they still have to catch those outs to catch up to you, without you catching another ace. Just an unlucky first hand.

AA has the highest probability of winning, so I never fold this pair preflop.

If you-re forced to go all/in preflop and fold, better play bingo:cool:

There is a fair amount of disagreement with this mindset especially in MTT's, because when you let your stack dwindle trying to make it past the bubble you're reducing your chances of actually winning the tournament.

It takes a ton of min-cashes to equal one big win and I think most pros will tell you that it will be a cold day in hell when they fold AA pre just because they're on the bubble, unless it's a satellite.

I have folded in similar situations. Youll find a better spot to gain ground.

AA is hard to reset...but it should be done when there is a threat of departure from the tournament on the terrible Board.

I, too, am ready to fold AA only in a satellite, if there is a passing stack, or on a dough, if I get money, in other cases, never

I always have problems with AA cards. They are like sweet exquisite poison for my bankroll.

AA can be dropped, but this requires a situation if we are on the satellite bubble in a major tournament and this is an easy pass (if we go along the stack to the lucky group) if this is not the decisive stage of the tournament I would never fold even against 5 or more players!

I think AA reset in any situation - it is a sin.
