Hi. In other posts I have already told you that I am a player of sit and go 9 max and that I want to venture into cash. I only made a few hands on NL4 in Run It Once because they gave me 10 euros for free. I doubled that amount in two weeks but I'm sure it was just luck. In fact it scared me to win so fast and I stopped playing. The problem is that so far I have only played freerolls and sits and cash is something else, it is money ....
How do you overcome that fear of playing for money instead of chips?
Thank you in advance for your patience with this newbie.

Here is my advice: don't overcome the fear of playing your own money just yet. Keep posting on Cardschat, become a member of the freeroll club and play as many freerolls as you can, building yourself a bankroll and gaining experience. Between Cardschat Freerolls, ACR Venom and Stormers, and other freerolls out there, you could play a freeroll almost any time you want, no need to gamble with your hard earned cash, especially if you are not an experienced player yet. Good luck in everything you do!

The best way to overcome your fear would be to face it. Go ahead and play, but and I emphasize BUT only play in real money games that you feel comfortable losing! I suggest start as small as what is offered and build from there. Free rolls are awesome and I play them mostly, mainly because I don't feel good about losing money. When I have a little extra cash I invest, but I try to play within my means.

This is great advice to start, no reason to force being ready to play for real money when it is making you nervous, OP. I believe the day will come when you’re more confident and moving into the micro stakes will feel natural! Best of luck :)

you need to have enough bankroll to play cash games..if your sitting at the table with your full roll then that will create fear as you wont want to go bust..play the micros if you dont have a decent roll and build up from there, once you have x amount of buy ins then you can think about moving up the limits

You want a freeroll game other than a cash game. You can practice freerolls, accumulate experiences, but the real experience is the cash game. Fear must be overcome, face it.

Only gamble what you can afford to lose. When played for money, it also plays different. No one wants to lose, with play money (or in freerolls) you can lose more and it doesn't hurt you so much.

I don’t have a fear of playing for money, because I can always stop on time, unlike tournaments, there the game goes for chips and when you lose their fear of loss decreases, because we don’t see real money in them

fear you will control it little by little is something normal feels more pressure at least in my case you must start playing at the lower limits so you do not compromise your bank and you are getting experience the good thing about cash is that you stop from the table in the moment you decide

I think everyone had this fear at the beginning of the games. The main thing is to appreciate every cent and not to climb into high stakes trying to recoup.

You need to tune in to victory and believe in yourself. Well, of course, start playing at limits that will not hit your bankroll hard.

I would join a 1c/2c table that let's you bring in $2 at most. Some I have seen only let you bring 80 cents to the table. When I lose 3 buy ins, my day is done. So at most, a day would cost you $6.

My advice ... if you have fear to play cash ... do not play because you will end up losing everything ... you must have confidence in your game in your decisions ... you can win or you can lose ... but never play with fear .. !

Thank you very much everyone for your advice and opinions. My wife and I will try to calmly take the game of poker, because we have not played for a long time (three months) and perhaps it is logical that we are afraid to play for money, since we are accustomed to freerolls and microlimits sits very low. I reiterate my thanks to all for their patience.

Start out in the 1and 2 cents games and when you get
comfortable playing there, then get into the bigger games.

Opinion

I played hexapros at unibet only 1 euro but basicly hard to win more than 1,5 and 3 player pays 3 euro and you get only 1,5 not correct I think. You can win the big bonus but is very rare I do not like. Sit and gos are better in my opinion.
