Just was wondering what everyone's strategy is here for this big field tournament. 15 minute blind levels!

Over 5,000 players Monday to Saturday and over 10,000 for their Sunday tournament.

How do people approach this tournament? Get a big stack early and then consolidate, or play tight and stay below average stack for most of the tournament?

I got 221st place in this tournament a month ago out of 10,000. You can rebuy twice but I was playing with scared money as I didn't have much money at all. Now i'm going to play only $1 tournaments for the time being as I dont want to risk my bankroll.

Looking forward to everyone's replies....

there is no rush, Everything is about correct decisions. As it's 5.50 tourney there are many bad players so you better stay more on tight side.

yep playing NLHE tournies is about good BRM. 50 buy in at least.

To cash big in a 5,000 - 10,000 player tournament though, you really need a 100 buy in amount to take the multiple hits to your BR you have.

It's all about winning big pots and losing small pots. You want to be one of the big stacks reaching the final 200 in a 10,000 player tournament. Got that far 6 weeks ago...

just wondering what everyone else's opinions were on this particular tournament on Stars? It is 15 min blind changes, which is better than most...
