So I have a theory on showing your hole cards.
If I win a hand before the turn or before The Showdown, and it's a good hand a monster hand like AA KK AK AQ or even hit top pair..., and the playeers fold, Then I will show my hole card to show them that I did have them benat when I made the BIG bet, I will show the hand to show them that I am not bluffing when I make a big bet.
My theory is that if I do this consistently winning hands with big cards and showing my hole cards, that if I get into a position where I want to put my opponent off his hand (when I want to make a bluff) I want them to fold, if can make a big bet therefore they have seen me make big bets and having a monster hand, that they will fold if I make a big bet with a crappy hand with a bluff.
But I think this will work if you play it completely opposite. Where you make a bet and they see a couple times that you show your cards and you were bluffing, then when you actually do you have a big hand and they think you're bluffing, then they won't think you're bluffing and call your bet with your Monster Hand.
So me, I do show my hole cards which ever way I play them. And I see that most people never show their hole cards no matter what they have.
So do you show your hole cards if so or if not why?
