it's easy to notice when you're on tilt, you just don't need to take everything to heart, because this is poker and it always happens with everyone

I have been playing a long time and the one thing I learned that helped my mind stay calm at the table is dealing with tilt. The Poker Mindset is a great book that every player should read after learning the game and playing at least a couple rounds on the felt battlefield. Learning that Downswings are not real but in actuality Tilt is tricking you into playing bad. I have learned to do this before i read the book but as a decent player reading it reinforced my confidence in my game. Knowing what tilt is and being self aware enough to nip it in the butt before it hurts your game. So i ask Do you know when your on tilt. Do you let it own you or have you learned to keep your calm on the table and always play your best game.
Depends what you regard as tilt group 1 hands lose all day long sometimes preflop to aggressive people shoving Q10 suited,K6 off suit combinations for example even in $100 or $200 buy ins that is poker.
Coolers on every street and rake bleed the best players dry sometimes no escaping certain hands and positions,
Ever notice though that it is only tilt when you lose a lot but when you win it is great shot taking never tilt but same hands and game?:)
Once you click deposit or register buttons you have got to view that money as lost most likely until withdrawn that is my coping mechanism for variance.

Tilt takes a much more different form for me now. I used to get angry and frustrated whenever I lost a big hand or if the "donks" lucked out on me. However, when I started taking the game more seriously and analysing the game, I started to realise that often I was the donk; betting when I should be checking, betting too small and giving the draws a good price to call and over estimating how far ahead I was are just a few mistakes I was making.

When you recognise that you weren't getting as unlucky as you thought, or that you weren't outplaying your opponents, you start to re-evaluate situations. I am by no means now the perfect player, but I'm much happier knowing that I played well and got my chips in good and actually in the long run, it just doesn't matter whether I win or lose that specific hand.

in online I believe that getting up, spending 3, 4, 5 minutes trying to digest and forget what just happened, do me good.
but I particularly have no problem with bad beats, but when I play a really ridiculous game and put my game on the loose I get really INSANE !!!!
