Players use the term BB to represent the size of the bet. If I said I raised 3BB it means that I raised 3 times the size of the big blind. So if the blinds are 50/100 I raised to 300 and if the blinds are 200/400 I raised to 1200. When someone refers to 100BB tournament that would mean that you start the tournament with 100BB. So if the first level of the tournament is 50/100 you would start the tournament with 10,000 chips.

The most common situation in hold-em is a raise by the button and a call from the BB. On the flop the BB is expected to just check to the button. When the BB bets into the pre-flop aggressor it is considered a donk bet. It used to have negative connotations. Donk meaning the donkey bet into me. But in today's game it is another strategy that can be employed and does not necessarily mean that it is a bad play.

It took me a long time to learn the terms of Poker but I continue to review from time to time some abbreviations that confuse me. It is primaldial to know oneself dominant in that.

i see very people now saying "ship it" everytime!
Especially on 888 poker indeed.

The most funny thing is when they say it and didn't properly look at the board and loose the hand. 🤣
