They can recommend me how to start at poker. I'm starting in this poker world that has attracted me a lot, and I do not know what is the best way to start. I do not know if it's going to be crazy for many. But I started playing with fictional money, now I'm with the freeroll, and I hope that at some point I have more skills and study to improve and put money and play. that's where my doubt comes from, because at first I played cash with fictitious money and there came a time when it became boring, there was not even an emotion to play for nothing. There came a time when I played all my chips without worrying, because it was fictitious money. Then reactions and I thought that way I would never become a professional. and thanks to the cardschat I was able to play a freeroll that put me in place 24 and earn 0.7 cents. It was the most exciting day of my life. In conclusion, what I played most is mtt. but it will be that profitable to start at the poker:stupido3:

In tournaments people play more preflops all ins, in cash games people play more flops and bluff way more. Thats my take on it.

I too am a “old” beginner. Took about a 10 year break and just started again a couple of months ago.

I play mainly MTT. The reason is you are spending a set amount and that’s it. Avoid rebuys and add ons tournaments first as they can be a lot more expensive.

Cash games, I feel, can lose you more money faster. You may double up and then lose it all later and then it feels like you lost more than you actually did which can depress you.

Check out the strategy article under menu in top left corner for some good advice on both. Don’t forget STT as well.

Good luck.

I originally started playing tournaments and now I'm not comfortable playing for cash . I don't know why, but maybe if I stop playing tournaments and start playing for cash, I'll get used to it and I don't care what I play. And in principle, the tactics of the game is the same as in tournaments that cash.

Buena suerte.

very good way to see, what you tell me. But if the end is to earn money to produce more, I think that in tournaments would go slower to be pro. or not ?
:hmmmm2:

Practice makes perfect

My personal opinion would be anything we choose to do in life takes daily practice, so u can get all the tips and tricks, which will help. But the daily routine of just playing cash games or tourney will give u a feel and understanding of the game. the beauty is that we will never fully perfect the game, always growing daily to become better players. patience is a virtue in this game and endurance. gl on the felts!!!

Hello i am also happy to you! I'm like you a beginner, but what I learned here has helped me and my game so much. I hope that you will also progress with the experience and experience in poker! For proper poker learning, you just have to play with real money, even if you lose in the first place, you've got better things called experience.

Two very different games, MTT and cash; it's personal preference.
To start, with no bankroll, you're stuck with freerolls.
With a little bankroll, single table game SNG's (sit and go's) are best for learning. Then either expand to multi table SNG's and later MTT's, or cash games.
When you start to pay for registration, look at bank roll managment.

to start, start playing freerolls, you'll understand the essence of mtt, and as you fill the bankroll you can go to tournaments at microlights. To fill a bankroll, in my opinion more profitable than a cash game

You started very well playing freerolls. When you collect $ 100, you can try cash games or other variations (eg jackpot poket). Good luck ;-)

I believe that the best way to start in poker, whether in SNG or MTT, to play cash game, is complicated because the technical level is high, only within the limits 0,01 / 0,02 that would be interesting to play, because in this buy in I think it's more cheap money exchange than making real money ..
The best way for the beginners is the Freerolls, you'll eventually get a hard shell, and you'll be prepared for bigger and better levels as long as you study, and get ready.

Poker is like any other skill, it requires discipline.

Keep your emotions in check, whatever path you choose.

Try and use that excitement you experienced from winning to learn more about winning. Reflect on what you did well, and what you might try differently in future.

My personal recommendation is to play freerolls until you are competent enough to cash in them regularly. Then you can build a bankroll to buy in to low stakes MTT or try and transfer your skills to cash games.

Of course, playing conditional chips is boring and uninteresting, make a micro-deposit of $ 5-10 dollars and play for money, but it's better to make a deposit of $ 30 with a bonus code for poker stars and play SNG, as well as MTT and freerolls.

a very interesting idea, as it seems cash games with too small bankroll can cause real problems, we have all tried playing "chance games" with $5 or so BR at the $0,2 nl , however the ups and downs can hurt and seems much easier to play cash games when you are very deep bankroll, have a "3 bullet" system and should be good to go, until you have a big enough bankroll, mtt will be the fastest way to get there , a few firsts & final tables will do

Hi! Welcome to Cardschat. I found lots of interesting posts that helped me improve my game, and I know you will, too. In my opinion, both mtt and cash games are very good for praciticing, of course in the long run you'll get a lot more profits with mtt. But again, both of them are totally different ways of playing poker, and you need different strategies for each. :)

Hence, you will need to play a bit of each game so as to be confident and use your own strategies
