C-bet thread.

I'm fairly sure there's a thread around here that goes over how much to cbet. Could anyone point me to it? Or if not, could we get one started? I'm never sure how much to cbet, and usually go with half the pot. I'm sure this is wrong in many situations, so the thread would be helpful.

Like most things it depends.

What is the effective remaining stack?
What's our SPR?
How many opponents?
What type of opponents?
Are we in position?
Is it a 3bet pot?
What's our range?
Did the flop hit our range?
Did the flop hit our hand?
What's our plan if our opponent ch/raises?
Are we willing to fire a 2nd barrel or are we planning to give up if called?

For a tournament, a standard size of 50%-60% seems fine. 80% for cash games. Obviously you should vary the amount, but that's not a terrible rule if you're looking for guidance.
