Starting with freerolls, how long would it take for me to get to ten thousand dollars? considering I followed my bankroll rules and was playing optimal poker.

There is no way to answer this question. It could take you a day, a month, or even a year. Or possibly longer.

Fastest way to build bankroll?

Should I focus on cash games, MTT's, or Sit n go's? Should I just focus on one and stick to it? or should I focus on all three?

I'm a beginner too, but...

I have one thought to share.

It's probably better to get solid at one thing before adding new things.

Probably personal choice is the best way to determine which of the options you mention is the best. They all have advantages and disadvantages.

I'd make a similar argument for Hold'em versus Omaha versus other variants. Probably best to start by choosing one.

This may not apply to everyone, but most of us probably do best by doing one thing at a time.

You need to turn down your appetite or a lot of patience. In freerolls it can take several years, at a very good game.

Thanks, I guess I will just stick to holdem tournaments. Tournaments take so long. That's why I was asking. lol

Oh no, I'm about to do it within a year at least. How long did it take Chris Ferguson?

What kind for freerolls are you talking about? Are they $1000 ones? Or are they $10 ones. How many times can you win one? Are you a US player. I ask that because there are less freerolls for US players. How much do you need to win a day to make it to $10,000 in a year? You will need to win about $27 a day. If I make $27 at 10nl, I think that is good. So can you see how hard it really is to reach your goal? Like milka1605 said, set yourself a lower goal, and when you reach that one set another. Anyway, GL to you dumbdonut. Anything can be done, but you have to take your time.

I've never cared for sit and go's. If I'm going to try to make real money at poker, it would have to be cash games. MTTs are harder for me, but I like playing them. One thing for sure, the play is very different from one to the other. And one day you may do good at MTTs and the next at cash. So I think you need to try them both, or all three. GL to you

dont play just freerolls, if you have like 40$ go play 2nl. find what you like cash, mtts, sit and go'es ? play just one game and try to be the best, if you put hard work the money will come for sure.

You should focus only on skills. You shouldn`t think about money while playing.. It doesn`t mean yous houdl spend it thoughtless but also you need to get rid of the idea to win money.. Just skills. If my opinion is interesting, you can as me for the details.. )
