Well long story short i made a $50 deposit into ACR quite some time ago ( possibly 9 - 10 months) and i played fairly frequently tho i didnt have a ton of time on the weekends and i have a regular job. I played alot of micro stakes cash and alot of $1.5 sng's. I did fairly well, within the first month i was up to just over $90. I took some beats, went on a bad run and dropped to about $34 in less than a month, ran it back up to $50 and its been up and down and up and down for quite some time, never really making any headway.
I will admit, my bankroll management is probably my weakest point - tho i am working on that aspect of my game. If i happen to take multiple bad beats close together in one session - aces getting cracked, underpairs hitting a set, etc. Then i lose it and tho i will quit sometimes like i should - sometimes i just start throwing it out there to higher stakes and lose it all. Anyhow, this happened 3 different times when i used to play on Betonline, which wasn't the best site to me. The runouts were horrible, always coolering big hands, and i had recorded evidence of what i was pretty certain to be poker bots at work so i quit playing there.
Anyhow, lost everything down to about $9, over 3 months (or very close to it) i ran my roll up to $90 again, then right at $100, then about $120. Micro stakes i used to play were .05 / .10 or .02 / .05 but, like many other people here i find it very difficult to grind out anything against these bingo players at these stakes so i have trouble staying focused at these stakes. Anyhow, i lost a few $10 buy ins at 5c/10c and then a few $5 sng's and just out of frustration threw $40 into a .25 /.50 game...lost that with AA against 88, i 5 bet cold shoved and he snapped me off for just over $35 and rivered a good old flush. So i took the $29 or so that i had left, started running a "progressive" strategy at roulette - which was ignorant to begin with - i worked running that up to about $44 - then i lost 8 spins in a row, go figure, who didnt see that coming. So anyhow, my online roll is now less than $1...what an idiot i felt like that day doing every single thing i knew not to do and said i was not going to do this time around - i let frustration get to me and fell into old and poor habits.
The entire point of telling you all this story is i am looking for advice now. I have taken over a week off, i really want to make another deposit, but at the same time, im not dead broke so until my acct reads $0.00 then i still have a chance. So these are the questions i want to ask - What do i do to improve my management? Have you dealt with severe emotions like this that get the best of your logic? How in the heck am i going to build a roll from less than $1 playing "bingo" poker? And lastly, what advice can you give me to take forward in the future?
