This is a discussion on Bad table position. within the online poker forums, in the Learning Poker section; I was playing a CC's tournament and just after loosing 2/3 of my stack after a shove I was moved for a new table.
I was playing a CC's tournament and just after loosing 2/3 of my stack after a shove I was moved for a new table.
In this new table there was a loose player always raising on my right. On my left, the chip leader, calling a lot of hands. And after him, a very aggressive player, trying to steal blinds all the time. That three are making most of the action. And I was the short stack of the table.
I felt like I was in a trap, forced to play only with strong hands, who were not dealt to me.
At least, I stayed with only three BBs and I was forced to shove with ATo OOP.
And finished 40th.
Someone can help me and show a better way to play that?
Well, if your cash stack is three BBs, there's nothing much to it - shove/fold. The chip leader was calling a lot of hands, so you are probably in an advantage if you have Ax. But, if you are getting card dead and your chips are draining fast, there's nothing you can do, only to hope for the best.
