Over the past couple of days I’ve played 1000+ plus hands and busted my buy-in twice, it’s only $8 but it’s enough to really annoy you because you know you’ve made bad mistakes, this putting you on tilt!

So the question I want to ask is...how do you get over Tilting?

I personally stop playing for a few days to allow me to get into a better frame of mind and make more rational decisions.

I study afterwards to get myself back on track and continue playing later that day or the next.

Yeah totally, I look through my previous hands and learn from my mistakes. Today I’ve learnt from previous mistakes and earnt back my loses from yesterday and now back where I started the week! So not too bad!

When it's a bad beat like quads busted by better quads or straight flush, it just pass.. that happens and frankly, when you can beat a quads, you deserve to win.

I think it's with the time that I got used to other kind of bad beats. I remember it was p* me off at the beginning and making me stop playing for a day or two, reviewing hands, watching streamers, ... sort of rush of study..

One thing that maybe also helped is playing live poker and getting the same bad beats as online. Sure, it happens more online, but that's part of the variances of the game..

Yeah bad beats sucks! Especially when you are playing against Fish and they beat you with a mediocre hand...that hurts, hurts bad!

It depends on the amount of money I lost...

When it's a lot, I take a day off. If it's small, usually an hour is enough to play my A-game back.

Currently I try to review the hand doing a study to understand where my mistake was, if the hand could really be played in another way or if it was just bad luck. More when I go into tilt I leave the game and do something else that I like.

I used tilt in the game. I will say - never in the initial stage of the tournament do not use this method.

Scott

When you feel tilted stop the session and do any relaxing activity like a park walk or something like this.
You can go back on tables after 2-3 hours completely refreshed.
At least that's work for me:)

the best thing is to retire and start doing something else, until you relax you can not play more in the day or for a good couple of hours

Getting busted on bad beats are very frustrating sometimes especially if you were ahead until the river. When this happens I usually stop for a couple of hours and have a beer and clam down before I play again.

for my part I do not even seek to recover the money I lost in the cash game. all I want now is to continue playing MTTs. I tilts too much cash game after 2 hours of play I can not manage my stress. I play no matter how and it costs me too much. Especially when the variance is torturing you with every hand you play.

I don’t get stressed out but I find it slightly annoying when I’m just getting deal rubbish cards! Lol

I start the tournament on tilt and remain there 100% of the time so my game stays the same.

The best cure for tilt mode, is to tilt even more, hit a big slop-out, then take a moment for chill time, and go back to your normal player strategy.
