What tools you would suggest to try out in pokerstars that would help in tournaments? I was thinking to build one for myself.

My friend, I will advise you to use Hand2Note, a software for collecting statistics. It helps you to understand how your opponents play and analyse your game

PokerStars still supports Poker Tracker (PT4) which I think is a great tool, not just for a HUD (heads up display) but also for in-depth hand history analysis.

And also to simply keep track of your results, if you play different stakes or types of tournaments. About the HUD its obviously a very old and controversial subject. My personal opinion is, that its less usefull in MTTs than in SnGs or cash games, because the player pool is so large (especially in micro and low stakes), that it takes ages to build a sample on someone. But there are still many easy exploits to be found, if you have HUD-data. So if OP is serious about his game, then definitely get PT4.
