Had a dealer that within 4 hands of my first 10 dealt to me flipped a card face up twice, one of which would have been a monster hand. I was just starting out and didn't realize it was better to either get up and go to another table or simply shrug it off.
What pissed me off was the way she was dealing cause she was throwin the cards much harder than she needed to.
Being a bit of a hot head I stated something not so nice after the second flip. I found I had no allies at the table, probably because I was being belligerent since I was getting nothing remotely akin to an apology. And without realizing it, cause i thought I was justified(in my mind), became the Dick at the table.
Had a horrible night of poker, but won my money back on a craps table later.
Explained what happened to someone @ the craps table and he laughed at me (which was cool, cause it lightened the mood). But he stated something that has stuck since which was "So what I am hearing is you were being loud and obnoxious and you don't understand why you weren't being treated fairly?" "get your head out of your ass and look at it from their position," Dealer has been working for hours on end for all you know, might be tired or simply made a mistake and you are jumping down their throat. She had nothing to gain by making the mistake and knows most of the table is not happy about it but now you are making a bad situation worse and there is absolutely nothing that can be done to rectify your lost hands so suck it up or choose not to play at all, shite will always happen and rarely in your favor.
Was just a proverbial slap in the back of the head I needed to see things right
