I won't be playing in casinos anytime soon. Chips and cards are prone for germs.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus situation will last at least all this year so I strongly recommend you not to play in casinos any time soon.

I'd be a little uncomfortable, but I would go in. And I would wear a mask. Washing your hands when you step away from the table will be key, and not eating or touching your face while at the table will be crucial.

I prefer not to go to any casino and wait and see what matters will turn out, even if I wait too long

I won't be going back anytime really soon but because I don't like the table layouts of only 4 peeps where I am I can wear a mask and keep a pocket bottle of hand sanitizer handy and feel safe ... but I would also not want to spread it to someone even if I had it but wasn't sick ... I don't really think it is time yet and some will pay the price for playing the chances were low game ... I'm happy to stay home play online and not contribute to that ....

Here in Nova Scotia the casino is still closed, but VLTs in the bars have been open for a bit with safety protocols in place. So far so good, as we have 12 days now with no new cases...

I'm not comfortable going anywhere right now. I'm honestly not trying to see the inside of a casino until there is a COVID-19 vaccine available and I've had a dose administered.

I was supposed to have a routine doctors appointment last week. I was actually hesitant and wondered if it was really necessary since it was just a routine visit so I could have my prescription for blood pressure medication renewed. Why couldn't they renew it without me having to come in, given the situation with the coronavirus. That was before I found out my doctor had recently tested positive for COVID.

If I'm willing forgo doctor's appointments, which are arguably much more of a necessity, then I can definitely live without a visit to a casino. It doesn't matter to me whether or not people are wearing masks or full hazmat suits, if it isn't a necessity, I can do without it right now. And a casino visit is not a necessity.

My wife was just talking the other day about how many times we would come home sick after going to the casino when times were good. Personally, I'm not afraid of the virus. I do have a real problem with losing my hard earned money though. Maybe when poker is back in full swing I'll jump into a tournament then but for now no way.

MTT's are back here in Vegas.

Here is what I figure. If doctors and nurses can use PPE to safely be able to intubate infected patients, then there ought a way you can wear PPE and safely play poker with people who might be infected.

But medical PPE is in very short supply. So I looked for industrial PPE and that's available.

So how about going to the casino wearing this, along with eye protection and gloves? Better than a hoodie and sunglasses, no?

I agree. I was wanting to go to a casino (for my first time ever; kind of exciting for me :D ) right before the pandemic struck, but now I've been waiting for it to become safe and I don't really see myself going until this upcoming spring because of the second wave of covid predicted to hit in the fall of 2020.

I don't think casinos (or going out into public for extended periods of time for that matter) will be 100% safe with the way standards are right now. If someone did go, then I'd imagine wearing a mask and washing hands often would be a must. It wouldn't even be as big of a concern if testing for covid was a more ready option for everyone (so only the negative testing results would be allowed in and the positive results for covid be treated), but the testing availability is not to the level it should be, for me to feel safe about going out to a casino.

With this said, I (like many I'm sure) will just continue playing online, studying poker at home, and maybe even playing small homegames with people you are already close to (so you aren't at a higher exposure risk) like family or roommates etc.

I don't know why you would label the virus because of its origin...maybe they should call it the TRUMP virus because of the thousands of lives lost due to the inability of the president to take appropriate action early enough...Italy, South Korea; they were able to stem the tide because they have good leadership...not some Reality TV actor, whose ego gets in the way of real action.

And no, I don't plan to play live at a casino anytime soon...and I wear a mask when I leave my home...it is a sign of courtesy to others; not a political statement against the incumbent buffoon.

I just deleted a crap ton of nonsense because people were (once again) acting like children. Some people are actually making thoughtful and intelligent posts in this thread, so I will keep this up for now.

I went and stayed at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS at the end of June. I wore a mask at all times outside of my room. My biggest apprehension when planning the trip was the towels, pillows and bedding in the room, so I brought my own towels pillows and bedding and misted the mattress with alcohol about an hour before putting on my bedding. I know that may sound like overkill to some, but I DO WHAT I WANT!!!! LOL...
It has been over a month and I have not been sick, however I may have already been exposed back in February when I had what I thought at the time was the flu and I have still not taken an antibody test even though I scheduled one, I got preoccupied and did not take it.
