Hello guys!

I'm creating this post to address an important issue. Have you ever played at any online poker table and suspected a hacker player? This image below shows a player where he has been All-in more than 10 times and won them all. Detail, most of the time he would go All-in with marginal hands. I found it suspicious and wanted to share.

Leave your opinion here.

It's a KO tournament so there's going to be more shoving than normal. Plus it's micro buy-in. I've definitely seen that sort of thing happen but never as many as ten times.

I seriously doubt though that it was a hacker.

Hello guys!

I'm not judging the player, but the way he played and winning one All-in after another, I thought it was kind of suspicious. But I think you're right.

I have several doubts about your suspicion ...

1-Do you have images of him going all in?

2-Have you ever looked for him on sharkscope or similar site to see if he is really profitable?

3 - If he was really cheating, wouldn't he try more expensive games?

4-You are playing bounty tournament, generally players go allin more often and with a wider range, either for value or to prevent others from entering the hand. Is there a factor that makes you think differently?

5-Against whom and in what situations was he involved in these hands and what were the outcomes?

6-With this stack he could go allin against anyone at the table and if he lost he would still be a chipleader. Have you tried to calculate the equity of any hand that he has moved all in, in addition to the effective stacks?

The type of analysis that should be done in a regular tournament does not apply to a tournament with bounty, in addition to having to take into account the speed of the tournament, slow, regular, turbo or hyper tournaments will have different aggressions.

Be very careful when accusing without adequate evidence, you could end up harming some innocent, or harming yourself.

In the digital world, one way or another, no matter how strongly the information is encrypted or hidden (we are talking only about online objects), it is possible to access it if you have tremendous programming skills. Also, all existing types of encryption are tied only to the fact that at the time of their application in practice, people on our planet do not have a device for decryption in a short period of time, i.e. with a very, very huge performance of calculations per unit of time.
Meanwhile, to prove a real hack, at least logs from servers are needed, and ideally such people are caught exclusively online, through tracing and retaliatory hacking.
But the weakest link is always a person, because there is a creator, there is an owner and those who carry out maintenance. And these people can get access at any time if they want.

It's very commom to think there are hackers. I actually belive they exist, but sometimes it's just bad lucky. When it's very suspicious just report and wait for justice

Hello guys!

First of all, I'm not stating it because I don't have proof. But I found it suspicious. But the focus of the post is the question, if you would ever play with someone suspected of hacking at some online poker table.

As mentioned above, in a KO tourney with a small buy in, you can really see some incredible action. Moreover, if a player has the possibility to hack a poker site server, then he would definitely have enough common sense not to waste his advantage in micro-stakes.

Make no mistake friends, to many things that are muffled in online poker. Online poker is not an innocent little girl. Big hug.

When you enter an online poker room, you not only face scam players who play with programs that allow them to have an advantage over the game, but also a page administration that for some reason is ignored in the case or falsely alleges that you are very aware of it

I don't know if they are hackers or very lucky guys, but many times I have that feeling that they see my cards ... Maybe it's just my paranoia, or maybe I'm still a terrible player ... But the feeling is real.:cool:

1) Will I basically play with him, knowing that he is a hacker? - No.
2) Or will he come across to me sometime at the table? - Time will tell.
P.S. And your question was "Have you ever played at any online poker table and suspected a hacker player?" - Until I suspected anyone.

Suspicion may be, but making sure it's hard. The good thing is playing live poker.

There have been cases in both online poker (Potripper) and streamed games (Mike Postle), where someone gained access to see their opponents hole cards in real time. However there are no known cases, where someone has been able to know, which cards were coming. Moreover even if someone actually had that knowledge, going all in before the flop would usually not be the best way to take advantage of it, since often this should just cause everyone else to fold. And then it does not even matter, what cards were going to come.

So as others have said, you have just watched someone, who was on a heater. If you flip a coin 10 times, then 1 out of 1024 times it will be either 10 heads or 10 tails. And if you think about, how many hands you watch in online poker, then of course you are going to see something similar happen to someone once in a while. And this is then the times, when they end up with a huge stack in a tournament.

As someone suggested I actually looked this player up on SharkScope, and he has not opted in, so its not possible to see, if he is winning or losing. But SharkScope list his ability as 62 and his average buyin as just over 3$. If someone is a solid winner, their ability will typically be higher than 70.

And as others have said, if this guy had actually found a way to crack the security of pokerstars, which is pretty much the gold standard in online poker, would he really be sitting in a 1,1$ tournament? Why would he not be playing the SCOOP events or the Sunday Million or anything, where the money actually matter?

Sure you can look at Mike Postle and say, that he cheated in a low stakes game. But this is because, it was the only game available on Stones, and other casinos had better security, plus his insider was not working there. If however you cracked PokerStars security, you could play any of their games, and noone in his right mind would then waste his valuable time on a 1,1$ event :)

I don't think it's very suspicious that someone was playing poorly in a micro bounty tournament. :D

People gamble a lot in small stakes tournaments and even more so when they can win a bounty!

I don't really understand the leap from they won chips after going all-in a bunch of times, to this person is a potential hacker who has solved the game - they probably didn't even cash in this tournament!

Try not to focus so much on short-term results - identify bad players and take their chips and you can profit in the long-term.

Good luck! :D

Hi!

I was in a similar situation. About 2,000 people started the tournament. We are at 37 when I get an AA. I'm on average chips. I didn't raise but pushed. The dealer immediately raised all in by 7.8o. There was no reason for him to push in. His hand wasn't good for him, he wasn't blind and his chips were almost as much as I had. He didn't think about it a bit but instant raise all in. Of course he won. Normal people don’t do that anymore when the finals are approaching. I think he could have been like the one you're talking about.

We have to keep in mind that this exists and it is not difficult for these guys to circumvent a poker site like pokerstars. These guys invade security agencies, banks, companies with more security. A website like pokerstars would be very easy for these hackers. I work with systems and I know how it works. And there's more ... Online poker was created to make money and not to donate. How many people do you know among thousands who play poker online have become people with lots of money?

YAY! I MADE IT!
I discovered a hack that can read out encrypted data streams in real time....

Well... What will i do with it ? Steal all the secrets of the CIA? Remove 14 trillion dollars from international banks and hide them in millions of anonymous bitcoin accounts ?

NO!

I WILL CHEAT IN A MICRO BUY-IN POKER TOURNAMENT !

Thank god that hackers are not greedy !

There are several types of hackers, there are those who are stingers and are anonymous just scouring things, there are those who want to take down big companies, there are those who just want to show off and there are people who are not considered hackers but know how to use systems, algorithms and who like to cheat and are not greedy. That's why they benefit from few profits on weak systems and websites. The poker player doesn't need to be a hacker to take advantage, he just needs to use software that circumvents weak systems and cash games. If I were one of those people I wouldn't be greedy enough to put the show on me for others to find out. I would start to profit low but continually going so unnoticed.
