First deposit / real money

How long did it take you to start playing with real money? How quickly did the first deposit?

I never deposited my own money. Started out with freeroll winnings when there were valuable freerolls being offered by a lot of sites. The early winnings had no deposit requirements and I withdrew winnings then used some to deposit in other sites to get offers. So all money I've played poker with has come from those initial freeroll winnings.

I deposit 20 usd to get the welcome bonus and then I was playing with real and fictitious money. Then I met freerolls and started playing in that mode. I consider that if you can deposit and it is much easier to arm your bank, because the freerolls are quite difficult to arm the bank at least for me.

Sometimes I make a Deposit, but I also play freerolls.

after few months. it was a bad move but i learned a lot from those games. to be honest putting money in poker as a newbie is not a smart move, especially if you dont know even the basic rules.

I've never made a deposit.. I won few bucks twice in freerolls and from there I started playing micro limit.. So actually there are options to play poker with real money without even making a deposit..
But of course that if you wanna play higher buy-in it's recommended to make a deposit otherwise it will take a loooooong time to reach the bankroll that allows you to play this buy-in

First time i deposit 30 USD in 2014,and next day my bankroll was 1113 usd ,but then i go crazy and played expensive torunaments and loose all money.Always play with bankroll managment.

almost immediately, what to do without money at a poker room? it’s better to simply exit or immediately replenish the balance

If you are good enough at freerolls and you see the situations well you can try real money as well.



But only carefully because real money poker is different even on a small scale.

Starting out with freerolls is a great way to go. The Cardschat freerolls are amazing and have solid play in them for the most part. If you're able to win a couple of those you wouldn't need to deposit. This also gives you the experience you need to be able to compete when you're paying for tourneys.

The first deposit I made was 20 USD. But it's been a while, and I'm starting to play again now. In the freerolls I play it is difficult to achieve anything.

I played in freerolls for over a year has a decent bankroll then wanted to withdraw but I had to make a deposit to withdraw grrrrrr so it was close to 1 year and a half before I deposited on any site!!

Ino, I would've felt like I was blessed or something xD

When i started my career i 've played a lot of freerolls . I hace never deposited for 2 yeards or so.

My first deposit was when I was 15 (illegal) I know and I went on to win a $1 buy-in tourney and won $250 within my first month, I've never looked back since.
