well.... it's a new program... now I know where the boost on my progress bar has gone.. dispared 2-3 days ago.. part of the program? Weird program I have to admit..

I don't understand with the recent war with partypoker, what they're trying to do... betting on a fail and maybe strike back? Change the habit of the occasionals to make them play higher stakes? For me it's more looks like waiting for a finishing move from PartyPoker...

I know players that play enough that no matter what they'll reach 99 chests within a month or two and chests aren't really a top priority.. so for them it shouldn't be a big deal... but for part-time players, that can be a deal big enough to move... or is it the objective? Getting rid of small players to keep mostly high stake and full-time players?


1 month and nobody will talk about this, I'm sure!

I'm not sure what PokerStars long term plan is (hopefully they have one). It almost feels like they are trying to push out the recreational player, like the player who comes to their site to unwind or have fun and learn a little along the way.

In my opinion, loyalty will go by the wayside soon enough for the 'little guy' but not before they can squeeze every penny out of us.

But, good luck to those who can reap the Loyalty Rewards!

Of course it is necessary to change something, first not prestigious to play with the Golden gift say the $3.30 although it is not plohoy especially on Saturdays, and the gold gift, I can't collect already say the third month have 2400 points, but depositing $5 hard course to play 2400, Yes definitely need to change something. They used to have super, with these Supernovas. Maybe when the thread will bring them back again, but for now, this is certainly a new tournament Star Rewards now KO ).

i don t think pokerstars wants to make their users win big , it s just an other promtion to reduce the much negative talk about them .

And all the chests it's just as a nice bonus, I don't know which of them made the kind of hard worker.

My take on it is hopefully its another experiment on their part to see how it works, and then if it doesnt play out like they hope it will they will switch up again. They seem to be changing things up pretty often of late so who knows. Not a big fan of the new chests loyalty program right now though

New system is a lot better than having to earn four chest over 24 hours to increase in color. The 28 day rolling period and the earn one chest to stay on color is a lot more fair. It takes some time and effort to reach the higher colors. I hated the fact that if I took a few days off they would drop me down in color.

It still pales in comparison to what they had before they introduced the chests. The rewards are still only around 20% of what they are used to. Also there is the luck factor as not all chests contain same reward. We used to have set rewards we could work towards and could have use it as a means of motivation.

Another drawback is the blue chests only contain spin n go ticket. Not everyone play spin n go. This maybe unfair to players who do play this format.

You know more than I do about the loyalty program!

This is not designed to keep players interested in my opinion...looks like another shiny something to play with for a little while. Like someone mentioned above, who knows what the next NEW thing will be. Nothing wrong with trying out new programs to see how well it goes, but with all the money invested in 'trying' new things they have to pay for it somehow.

I'm new to poker. poker stars school gives free tickets for a $ 5 prize for three months. In a month only 8 games. How can you learn in this short time? Therefore, I fully agree with you.

Oh, I didn't know about the blue chest.. maybe part of the plan is to bring people to like S&Gs.. also they are quick games so ask less to the servers and this is where PP hit them first so they've probably lost a lot of players recently...

I'm affraid of thinking this, coming from a site like PokerStars... not so long ago they were the one trying to steal these players from PP and now they'll gently send them back on a silver plate?? That makes no sens :dong: They were the one saying the recreationals were needed, they were on the field talking to players, asking them what they can make them switch.... That's probably the worst business decision ever taken in online poker

If I remember, before the black friday, Full Tilt was trying that kind of move and it wasn't going so well..

The rewards are a distraction in my opinion. Playing and winning is far more lucrative. Like 888 which has many Mickey Mouse rewards, they are miniscule relative to playing low buy-in games and making the final table.

I just cashed in ten or so chests. I won't say it was a total waste of time...

I like the new changes, but I haven’t opened any chests yet.

I play a 25 cent spin and go every third day or so. I hope I will be well rewarded for my efforts!

they better had a rakeback program so people have a second change , i think this with points is not worth , you can buy from store tickets and cash but the points are so low so..

And now? as'll get a chest only with money freerolls. My complicated task, I hope that greater work pay when you finally manage to catch a chest.

It is easier to cancel chests with near-zero waiting and return the old rakeback system, it would be more honest, but the Stars will know better

I agree with some that these gifts are a sham.
You hardly win anything out of these boxes.

I use up my star coins playing the tournaments.

just another way to make you play more, therefore pay more, you dont get owt for nowt
