pokerstars is partnering with an Indian tribe to offer poker, sports betting, and also other casino games in the Wolverine State. And we also have some more good news for the US poker industry. partypoker appears set to end the online poker monopoly in Nevada. Not a bad start to the new decade.

This is amazing! After moving to Colorado two years ago I got back into the online poker community ( not much in the way of cards in Northwestern Colorado ) I LOVE hearing about new states that are getting the opportunities. We legalized weed pretty early on so im assuming our legistlative decision makers are just too high at the moment to realize that poker will be good!

That's good news and I'm glad to hear it. Does anyone know if any other poker sites will open in Michigan.

This is great news for poker in the USA. Hopefully this momentum keeps going to the other States so we can at least get the US as one player pool. Here's looking at you California!

It's great news to us. I think USA is the biggest poker players pool. Hopeful to connecting all states in features. Maybe we will seeing rake back with this news.

Great news for Michigan and for the players of PokerStars too! I'm very glad to see, that more and more locations in the world get access to play our favorite game at bigger variety of poker rooms. I wish, one day all countries of the world could play in the same rooms together without any restrictions, but it's still a long way if at all it ever gonna happen.

You can still do that on the .com client. I've had my log in for years, and still use it to play in some CardsChat Home Games.

But to play for real money in Michigan, it's likely that they will have software that is dedicated for MI players only (so a new account would probably be required, along with new software download).

Don't think so. I had to register a whole new acct when signing up. Depositing easy as hell though. Can link directly to bank acct, paypal, prepaid cards and also vanilla direct. If they're using same methods as PA.

If it's like it is PA you will be able to. I've seen cities listed from neighboring states. There's even a mid-stakes reg that plays w/Las Vegas listed as their city.

So long as you're inside state lines you can play.

The bill has been passed but PokerStars hasn't been given the license, have they? I think until Covid -19 is under control or has been combatted, we won't likely see anything till then. But, I know Michganers are hoping sooner rather than later!
