Im starting to take my poker more seriously, and ive had a couple of software trials, one was HEM2, which i was completely lost with, looks like you need a degree in maths to work it out, the other was poker officer, the one thats linked to PKR, and that one, while being simple, didnt seem accurate..

Is HEM2 not as bad as it looks, is there a good tutorial somewhere, or is it really complicated.

I use PT3 and love it, very easy to learn how to use. Get the free trial imo.

Not as many features as HEM2 (which may be good for you) but PT4 will be out sooner or later, which should have lots of new features

I have HEM1 and am confused as all hell. It doesn't work for the Fast Fifties I have been playing. I downloaded the updates which supposedly fixes it, but it didn't change the ones I have already played.

Basically I would check out the trial version first and make sure it works for your needs before buying. It can be complicated, but a lot of it is simple too and it provides a lot of good info.

I had the same problem with HM1. Never did get it to work for those particular tournaments. Since I don't play them often, I wasn't too worried about it and never really persued the issue with support.

You think HM1 is confusing? Do yourself a favor and DON'T download the trial of HM2. I've used HM1 for years, relatively simple and straight-forward program. It's kind of sad to see that support for it will gradually be phased-out now that it has been "improved" with the release of HM2.....what a clusterf...ck THAT program is. Could use it as the very definition of counter-intuitive design.

I'll be switching over to PT3/4 soon which I generally don't like as much as HM1, but as that will eventually no longer be supported there really is no other choice. I think they said they'll support it for 1 year from the release date of HM2 which was, I think, November-ish.

I have been happily using HEM1 for years and "upgraded" to HEM2 when it first came out, tried it, hated it and went straight back to HEM1.
These days I only play MTT's on the Boss Network and as HEM1 doesnt collect MTT data there I dont bother with any poker aids these days, I used to use Poker Office which suited me but as you had to buy a license every year I gave up on that but I still miss it.

1. Open your computers Control Panel --> Open Folder Options.
Under the "General" tab turn on --> Show all folders
Under the "View" tab turn on --> Show hidden files and folders, or drives.
Click OKAY.

2. Open PT and open the "Import" tab.
In the list on the left click on Cake Poker Network
Open the "Cake Poker Network Configuration" tab (next to preferences)
Turn on "Automatically start with Auto-Import"
Make note of the string in the box at the bottom right. (Users\yourcomputername\AppData\local\CPN) Your Intertops database is located in the CPN folder.

3. Open the Manual Import tab.
Click on "Import From Directory."
Now follow that same string to the CPN folder. Inside you'll see the CAKE folder and the INTERTOPS folder. Open the INTERTOPS folder and scroll dow to "Hand History." Click on it to highlight it and then click "Select Directory.

In the following windows you may, or may not get a warning about the directories not matching. Tell it that it's all good and move on. :D
Now you'll get a cuppla windows. One will be the import window and the other will be the formatting window. When they're through, move on to step three.

3. Go back to "Auto-Import" --> Cake pref's again
Now under the box, lower right, click on the "add.' button.
Navigate to the INTERTOPS folder again and open it. Click on the "Hand History' folder to highlight it, and select it.
You'll get the database not matching warning again. Make it feel better and tell it everything is fine, just do it... :D
It will put a second string in the box. One for the Cake DB and the other to the Intertops DB.
Now click on Auto import.

Start Intertops, open a table, sit down and watch the magic. :p

Yer very welcome.
