Ok so I've been playing poker for about a year now.. give or take 8 of those months with a decent enough clue sorta.... when I first started online I think overall I was a losing player.. even though I may have one a handful of tourneys I'd then proceed to lose it all.. maybe it was apart of tilt as this happened quite a few times where I could make 100 bucks plus then boom its all gone in a few days...
I have now for the past month been about even.. its been frustrating though make 10 bucks.. loose 10 bucks.. make 10 bucks... lose 10 bucks... etc but I've tried dear god have I tried and to this date stuck to it, not to tilt and blow my BR if I have a few bad games I take a breather sometimes don't even come back to it for a few days..
Frustrating thing is when I do decide to come back the bad beats continue.. etc I know this is how every poker player looks at themself as them being the bad beat magnet as in why do all the bad beats happen to them etc I try stay away from this mindset but I bet to differ.. just a lil bit.. I'd take a longshot thinking the badbeats/suckouts are increasingly more likely variance wise due to the more increasing number of people that don't know shit about poker.. I'm talking of 3 dollar games or less here folks....
I.e you might be overplaying a hand your UTG you raise K-10 suited or whatnot.. flop comes K,A,8 you get one caller.. you push and push but to no avail even if you do have a TAG image and whatnot.. pushing fails.. they show a shit hand like A-3 and you have to think.. wtf are you serious?..
Or lets say you bet in MP when blinds are quite higher with 8,9.. flop comes 3,8,2.. you push and push.. wondering why the **** this person keeps calling you as you know he has nothing.. turn comes 4, river 5 he shows a-10 or something..
Or lets say you rep 'pockets' even though you don't have them but repping them cause of a previous hand that the whole table saw you play earlier.. you play it exactly the same..
say flop comes 3,5,7, you push and push only to show this person hangs all the way to the river on the BOTTOM pair.. seriously.
I may not even be pushing I could be betting or even just small value bets all the way through to make it look like I'm slow playing or whatnot.. most of the time turns to custard...
at times it just makes me think.. hmmmm should I just back off.. wait a lil bit and do a big deposit and go to a bit higher in the limits that I myself know I can handle.. i.e. the 5-10 dollar ones.. yes donks are everywhere but they' d be increasingly less and still as donky as they maybe even there I know myself speaking from experience since I've been there while they may be donky you wouldn't get the all ins on 3-6 etc pf or 5-j when theres no need for them too..
Which reminds me today.. I had aces first hand.. dream come true right? only for it to go bust to 3-6 he flopped a straight and this was all in pf..
It really frsutrates me that I know even though yes I still have a few niggles I have to iron out.. but I know generally I am an allround solid poker player for the most part at 'my' level.. and its just annoying when you see people who really have no clue but they just happen to be in those periods where they can do know wrong momentarily and have a good ROI for that week or whatnot ya know and you just think to yourself what the ****..
I know this is a long read and the most of you lot don't particulary care.. but I just HAD to have a dribble...
