Just got done with a tourney with rebuys. It goes on and on and on.. 1400 entrants, and still adding. 2 hours in, still 230 left. I prefer tourney's that have a stable field, when you are out, no rebuying. Rebuys ruin it for all but those who can afford to rebuy. Cardschat tourney is best that way, no rebuys and no late registration.
As bad as on-demand tourney's are, at least I haven't run into one that has rebuys.

Re-buy tournaments are awesome - except the ones on ACR. They have a ridiculous late registration and re-buy period which ruins the tournaments.

Agreed ,ACR is way off when it comes down to late reg's ,i can see 4-5 levels max of late, but most are 12
on the rebuys ,if i play .i allow for 3 rebuys and 1 addon ,usually doing 1-rebuy from the start,,,,,if i lose ,,i lose

ACR has to cut down on late registration. Everyone I have heard from on this, thinks it is way too long.

I don’t enjoy playing tournaments with rebuys. It just causes people to play much looser hoping to double up or Rebuy. People with deep pockets can do well but I shy away from them. To each their own.

There don't seem to be many tournaments with add-ons at ACR. I guess they have the long late reg/rebuy periods to compensate. Still turns me off from playing those games. Even the freezeouts have 90 min late registration. I'd like more tournaments that last less than 5-7 hours.

Agreed with most above. I enjoy late entry and rebuy tournaments. But honestly, the limit should be 60 minutes max in my opinion for late entry, and any tournament should be 1 rebuy only. If you happen to bust after the late entry time is gone, and its your first bust out, I think you should be allowed the choice to rebuy.
But anything more than that, I agree makes tourneys go on way way way too long.

I gave up on rebuys.

So many more chips come into play when people including myself keep adding more and more chips to the total chip count. It's just an excuse for people to not play right. Again, myself included. Then when the add on comes, which is a big amount of chips, that gets added to the tournament chip count and everybody adds on of course. I just don't play them any longer.

rebuys are yuky

I don't really care for rebuy tournaments but unfortunately, that's life in poker. Once in a while, you find single entry ones, not on WSOPC. I like to know if I get rid of someone they are gone for good.

I couldn't agree more

I still have some of the free tournament entries from ACR for signing up, and I don't even have the desire to use them because of the rebuys and extended late entry. There are about eight options I have for these tournament coupons and the "average" time for rebuys is two hours, with a couple at three hours.

If that isn't bad enough, there is still late entry going on and the couple I played lasted 6-8 hours, which is way beyond reasonable from my standpoint.

I'm not a fan of re-buys. I believe if you are eliminated, you should be gone for good. I don't like that the field keeps growing for many hours after the tournament starts. In the local casino where I play, they allow both late registration and unlimited re-buys for most tournaments, usually for several hours. I tend to play $200 - $500 buy-ins and there really isn't a whole lot of chip movement for the first few levels. So, I usually wait it out at least a couple of levels but before I would be too short stacked.

I also do not like such tournaments and try not to participate in them. I think that this is just a trick of the site for catching money in the players. But the players do not want to understand this.

I do not like many rebuy tournaments, much less those that eliminate you and you can re-register, if I have played them but I do not like them, there are players who abuse that, and they are making repurchases every time and playing very crazy way

I hear you, I filter them out, sick of seeing people buy in at the last minute and add on and be right in contention with those who spent hours ammassing their chipstack. cheapens the tourney

It depend on the kind of play , if it s a slow tournament , it gives you the opportunity to see and play maaany hands, that way u can only play strong hands. If you like slow tournaments, try to play fast blind’s changing, but u have to be agressive so u can win hands fast .
