Watch a lot of daniel negreanu videos. Watch a lot of videos on the big poker events. Since you can see the cards, watch how they are being played. See how players react on a draw, a made hand, total air, middle pair and a gutshot, etc. By the river, you should be able to try and figure out what your opponent is calling with. Did they raise preflop? Are they likely to flat a monster?
Let's you're holding Ak and in the utg+2, you raise to the 3x. Button flats and is a pretty loose aggressive player. blinds fold. flop Comes out A,7, 8 on 2 hearts. You cbet. he calls. He could have AK,AQ,AJ,AT, A7, A8, 77,88, 78, 9T, 56, 69, Kxsuited, or any 2 hearts is most like what he has. If he simply calls your cbet, you should be able to eliminate him having AA, KK, and QQ. No raise preflop in position. The turn is a 2 of diamonds. This is a blank so you fire again. He's pretty much got al the same hands but A2 of hearts being likely. river comes J of diamonds. Looks like a blank, you bet he jams. He most likely has 9T and made a straight on the river or total air some KJ, KQ of heats and he's mad.
Now, let's change that river to the 2 of heats. Giving you top pair top kicker and you check raise him. if he's got Kx of hearts he's going to call and not raise. If he raises, then you can put him on 77, 88, even A2, probably A2 of hearts if the A on the board is not hearts. It just trying to figure out why you opponent is calling, raising, checking, etc.
