PKO tournaments question

I haven’t played many PKO tournaments, maybe one before, and I’m not sure how the prizes work. Is there no regular prize pool and everything is bounties that get progressively larger as the tournament proceeds?

Playing the stars weekly 10k freeroll later, which is a PKO and why I’m asking this.

Should I play any differently to a normal MTT?

Let's say you play a $5000 PKO.

$2500 (50%) goes into the regular prize pool
$2500 (50%) goes towards bounties

Let's say you currently have a $2 bounty on your head and you eliminate somebody who has a $6 bounty. You get $3 in your cashier straight away and the other $3 is added to your bounty. So now your bounty is $5.
