hey everyone....any help would be appreciated. I'm all about doing satellites and free rolls into larger tournament online. I seem to do pretty well at it and my bankroll is very limited online atm. I typically do well in the larger tournaments....I just busted out of a $215 tournament on Carbon earlier today....purely on variance. Let me explain.
I was doing well in the tournament, I was patient, playing solid holdings and picking my spots well in the early going. It was super stacked but I was table chip leader and had built a good table rep. The table was pretty solid with good players at this time. It seemed to me that everyone was feeling each other out. So a few go out and towards the 4th hour of the tournament, some new faces started to show, who were assumably planning on throwing down a couple thousand to get in the running for the money. It seemed to totally unbalance the table, as they pushed a lot of junk hands all in not 3 or 4 time....but over 10 times....when they got knocked out, they would be right back to dish out fresh trash for us to deal with. I wasn't disappointed in my play. I was calling with premium hands (i.e. AKs VS. A-10os...which by the way, ended badly for me...he hit a 10 on the river), and eventually they pushed me out of the tournament, either from terrible luck, or just not wanting to commit preflop to any one hand.
So any help in dealing with these types of players would be much appreciated....thank you so much for your help
