Hey all I've been wanting to play a live tourney for sometime..Yet truth be told there was never decent ones in my area..
I mean they hold the $65 buy-in games (which is ok if your content with winning like 1k)...Yet the thing is, that don't really entice me to play, for several reasons.....
So finally tonight, I was just looking up the local casino games+schedule and there was this one game that really caught my attention..
For starters it would be the most expensive game I've ever bought into, yet the question that came to my mind was that the casino does hold Satellites to this game, and because of that I was wondering if this makes it less worth it, or not? Let me rephrase the question, the tourney buy-in is$1k, Now assuming that some players satty into the event it's a 2 step process, yet they run for as little as $125 (Would this really have an effect of the over all tourney or not)?
It's a 200k GTD event runs for 2 days (Still a long ways to go until the event actually starts), max entrants in the event is 200, and 16k starting chips+30 minute levels...
Here's more info on it (On the website it states $850, but when I called the casino I was told 1k straight)

1) So to all live tourney players here, what preparations should I do to have a decent shot in this (Assuming I play), which more than likely I will?
2) To all those that play those Vegas wsop circuit event (Does the buy-in really reflect the game play)? Obviously a 10k event is still 10k yet a 1k event is still 1k, so does that make any difference in playing styles or no?
Anything else you may think, I left out and you'd be kind enough to through in there for me (I really wouldn't mind)..
Oh 1 more thing, I haven't played live in like over a year ago, and than I only played 2 tourneys (Both $65 buy-in), ended up winning 1 and ended up splitting 2nd place money in the other
