Here I make the cardinal sin of a deepstack MTT.
Blinds: 25/50. Just under 10K behind.
Early position, 66. Raise to 150
mid position calls
Cutoff calls
3 to the flop
Flop: J68 two diamonds
Check, check, raise 300... Hmmm I reraise to 700
Mid position calls 700, CO reraises to 2300.... Hmmm... I put him on top two pair...
Turn 3h. Check, check, CO thinks and tries to see how much I have behind. Mr. Dumbass (me) makes a flippant remark about how it's only been a dozen hands and we all have the same stack - but he did have me covered.
CO shoves. For some STUPID reason, I still put him on two pair. I didn't think for a minute that my bottom set could be counter fitted by either of the other two flop cards. I called, MP folded.
CO showed JJ for the higher set. River was an Ace and I'm walking because I am $20 short of a rebuy. Damn... I knew I shouldn't have played Pai Gow earlier...
