Obviously that was the point I'm saying in professional poker more players are adjusting their play to a more loose style and was wondering if u think that trend will continue. It's not an argument for which ones better u have to alter your games to your opponent blind structure and payouts I was just saying in professional poker nearly all the pros have adjusted to a looser game even if you watch the last high roller even you'll see Phil hellmuth jr a long with the likes of others raising and 3 betting with nothing which is uncommon in most stakes up to that level
I think what A2345Razz means is that you constantly have to change your type of playing on a short term basis, like a few hand or even one hand at a time having a different approach. What you are talking about is long term, which trends will develop over the long term (something which is constantly changing too).
It might be that you are watching those pro's playing like that and when you see them playing tomorrow, their game might look like it's from a completely different person. It's the best way of taking away the possibility for the opponents to have a read on you.
Now, in the long term a general trend will also develop for sure, the poker from now is not the same as it was 10 years ago. That's why books get outdated and even the top pro's, who know exactly how to play and beat this game, will have to keep studying the matter. If you look to the way of playing 10 years ago, you will see quite a lot of LAG stuff with the pro's too (maybe not so much with Phil Hellmuth, but he might be adjusting to today's game.
