Oh I kinda repeated some of your thoughts....lol. We must have been posting at the same time, when I answered there were none yetAre you just starting out in online poker?
If so start at the $2+.25 SnG's and play there till you are comfortable with your play and the skill levels you will go up against.
Chris Ferguson has a great Bank Roll Management course on the Full Tilt Academy, look it up and study it.
It will teach you a lot about maintaining your bank roll
Also if you start losing DO NOT make the mistake of trying to win it back by going UP in level, instead go DOWN till you get your game back.
Study your hand histories and look for the flaws in your game.
Hope this helps
stay away from Double-or-Nothin SNGs
Out of interest, why stay away from DoNs?
Kinda depends what options you've got on the site you're playing on. Ideally you'd like to have at least 30 buy ins for the level you're playing, including rake. Personally I like to have at least 50 before I think about tackling a level but maybe I'm just a nit.
With $150 you're almost but not quite rolled for $5.50 games. $3.30 would be ideal if the site you're playing offers them, otherwise $2 games.
I'm assuming single-table SnGs, BTW - if you're playing multi-table ones you want a bigger cushion because the swings and gaps between decent cashes are bigger, definitely stick to the $2 games if that's the case.
Personally I like to have at least 50 before I think about tackling a level but maybe I'm just SMART WITH MY BANKROLL.
As said before I'd go with 2% of your BR for STTs and 1% for MTTs.
Whether you are good or not - there will be streaks were you won't be cashing at all (we'll if you really suck it's going to be a very long streak ).
You can't be too conservative with your BR - imo.
-If you play well overrolled for a buy-in level it won't hurt you.
-If you play underrolled you can get into serious BR problems very fast.
If your new to online poker I think you should start at the $1 SNG's MTT's 5/10c cash tables. But if you've been around for a while and you are alright at poker than you should go from $1.10-$5.50 depending on the level you feel most comfortable at. Well in what ever you decide to do, GL and if you start losing money just go down a level or two and get it back and when your ready to go up do it.
