Hi guys,
I play mostly freerolls and this strategy helps me at least to get to the money well if there are decent number of players and you have a bit of luck of course.
So here is it:
Play your usual poker at the beginning. Keep an eye on the medium stack. If you have AA, KK or QQ go all-in. No raising, no other actions. Why? Because when you raise at a freeroll nobody will respect your raise or for example if you have QQ they will pay you with a KJ and you will lose your hand if there is a king on the board.
Next step. If the medium stack is 2 times higher than yours go all-in with 88 or higher pocket pair or AJ, AQ, AK. Most of the times you will be paid by a much bigger stacked player who has something like A10 or their "lucky"hand such as Q2o so you will get rewarded.
Next step, repeat the previous step until the medium stack is lower than 2 times your stack.
I just played a freeroll that way and I got eliminated at 237 place out of 8000 players. Well I didn't get any money because the prize pool was only 50 dollars but as you can see this is pretty far in the tournament. And I was eliminated on my most certain hand. I had QQ and my opponent had AA and he just limped before me but that's poker.
Also note that at one point I had only one BB left and I got back in the game using this strategy. Maybe it's luck but maybe it isn't.
I hope this to be useful for some cardschat members. Also please let me know your opinion on this or if you have any improvements of it.
