I've been trying out some hyper turbo MTTs on poker stars and have finally managed to start cashing, but never very deep.

I'm wondering, has anyone developed a strategy for these tournaments or any similar?

To clarify, I'm not talking about satellites or heads up, talking about full ring games.

On the odd occasion I play them, I either fold or I'm all in. I'm not a huge fan of them although I suppose they give you a decent idea of how to play short stacked. I seem to remember a session Andy Black did on the Full Tilt Academy website where he plays a hyper turbo and goes through his decision making processes. It may have been for a single table SNG though rather than multi table MTT. It might still help to watch it though.

Get lucky. Win coin flips. Have to lower your shoving range, especially in late position.

That's fair enough.

However, I generally play the $5 NLHE or the $10 FLHE hyper MTTs, where you actually start out with about 20BBs. Even in that scenario, would you still be in automatic push/fold mode through the entire tournament?

Thanks for the comments.

Obviously it's dependent on your opponents, but what is a generally acceptable shoving range for you?

MTT (normal structure) = 80% skill + 20% luck
HT MTT = 20% skill (push bot) + 80% luck
