Good morning As the good recreational that I am, I would like to express your experience. In MTT tournaments, did you ever make the final table or win it on a recurring basis? What does it take to win it? Balls? Luck? Opportunity taken?

it is a little bit of both luck and skill cause remember that to win at poker weather is cash games or MTTs what it takes is volume I have won various freeroll tourneys and on tourneys with buy-in the best place i have made is a 15th place not even an FT but this I believe is due I'm pretty much recreational to and not put in the necessary volume to win it cause you must have a little luck and good skills to take advantage of that luck and do the right thing at the right time

I usually play in freerolls, and this year, I've been to the final table at least 10 times. I think that first of all the player's patience, his skill and of course luck are important.

I've played several times, won a few times, I'm not a professional player, I can say that there are many details related to the game, I've won by skill, I had to work hard, fold strong hands, choose the right opportunities, and I've also won by luck, almost without chips I went allin I won unlikely hands, I grew up and then got the advantage to reach the final table.

You can't just count on luck, it can give you a little help, but the ideal is to use your skill and think very carefully before each attitude.

Follow simple steps like playing with position, avoiding difficult hands, don't give other players free cards, know the right time to fold even if you have premium hands, pay attention and make notes of your opponents, control your bankroll, review difficult hands, look for see how other people would play in your place, take care of your image at the table, avoid bluffing especially against bad players.

Yes I have, many times. It takes all three, skill, luck, and balls to make the final table of an MTT. The skill and the balls are on you. The luck just has to happen and and you never know when it will. But when it does you have to have both the skill and the balls to take advantage of it.

Attitude.Poker is a marathon not just one race. You keep coming night after night and just playing your best game (simple modifications allowed of course) for some longer period of time,a month or couple months maybe, and then you evaluate how much money did you make/lose,why,what would you change to improve your winnings etc.

What i have learned in MTT is patience, the patience to wait for a good hand in the right place and to repeat it successfully. Yesterday i arrived at the last table at MTT CC on ACR for my first time... it feels good, even though I finished 8th. :p

If you have a good understanding of poker and a lot of experience playing poker, I think it's not a problem to play the final table, be high in prizes, or win a tournament :)

Of course, the main thing is luck, if you do not have anything at the table or every time your cards pass the table, you will not be able to do anything, unfortunately... Take your time, play calmly, and be able to make a difficult fold, especially if you really want to see your opponent's card :) this can be very difficult, but it is very useful not to do it :) The tournament is long you will have time to go all in more than once :) Carefully study each opponent :) But it is especially important not to make stupid mistakes, after which nothing will help you return... I think it's better not to make the right call than to make a blunder and be eliminated from the tournament....

I've made final tables a number of times on line and at casinos. I've found that the primary factor in reaching a final table is being able to fold a 'good' hand. I read a great book by a poker pro teacher, Alexander Fitzgerald, in which he said if you can''t find it within yourself to fold a pair then you won't find success in tournaments. The second main ingredient is simply patience. Trying to stretch an "ok" hand into a really good hand by raising a big amount or calling a big raise is lack of patience. And last.....luck. You won't get to the big money without winning a few flips.

Nicely said.

You're right.

You can win on luck alone. I won Tuesday's CC freeroll by busting AA, KK, and QQ on the final table. I also had quads twice. Hard to lose when that happens.

Usually though, it takes a combination of luck, patience, and proper aggression. You want to wait for good cards and play in good position. You should bluff some, but you need to be smart about bluffing. When you hit, bet. Make villains pay to see the next card.

If you wait for good cards and play them aggressively, you should do pretty well. Following a tight opening chart should get you ITM a fair amount. To go truly deep, you need two additional weapons. The first is knowing when to open your range. The second and most important is a good short stack strategy.

Everybody will be short stacked at some point. Nearly every tournament I've won, I was short stacked at some point. I am talking about playing with under 20BB, often as low as 5BB. Learn ICM pressure and study push/fold strategy, but understand that the main objective when short stacked is to double up. Knowing when to shove, and more importantly when not to call, will help you a long way into going deep.

Hi! I've been to the final table several times. This was most often achieved in small tournaments with a smooth structure and a small buy-in. You should choose a certain type of game for yourself, it is better when the structure is smooth, then the victory depends less on luck. After choosing the type of game, you should learn as much as possible about it. You can also watch videos of how successful players play. Good luck to you!

of course to win a mtt. above all, you have to have luck, but you also have to be rigorous and disciplined. you have to adapt to the playing style of these opponents and be patient and aggressive when necessary. I advise you to visualize your objective before the start of the game as well as the strategy you must use to get there.

I got to the final table several times. And once I even won about $ 120. And even though I have only been playing poker for two years, I realize I still have a lot to learn.

To win tournaments you need to work on your game. Analyze your opponents. And to understand that poker is 80% skill and 20% luck. Patience is also important.

For one tournaments skill 50% and luck 50%. Each tournament's victory is a numerous win in coin flip and/or win under dominations. For 100 - 60% and 40%, For 1000 - 70% and 30%. For 10000 - 80% and 20%

Yes, Patience is very important and I have always looked at MTT this way.... everyone has the same chance to win. Each person has a path to win it all and navigating that path is the key. Sometimes calling down an aggressive player just to see his cards is worth the chips. There are many opportunities especially in the later stages to build your stack because some ppl are focused on making the next money jump.

You just need to be able to play and know in what period of the game what to do and how to do so you need to constantly learn poker and let the experience come.

and without luck in poker you can't achieve great results and you need to play a lot to even out the variance
