This is a 3 year old thread but I'll comment.Player was aggressive, missed the flop, but still took his hand. He managed to win. But did he convince? Do you think he played correctly? Watch and comment!

This player raised in early spot with a sub-par hand. Not an ideal play but maybe he has a read on the table. Its folded around to the BB who just flats. The flop doesn't help our aggressive raiser but the BB checked. He does the right thing in c-betting and again the BB just calls. The turn does give him the gut shot. BB again checks, thus we are allowed to take a free card. This works even more in the favor for our pre-flop raiser. We hit our gut shot and now the only thing is to get paid off. Which after a raising war we get all the chips in the middle. Exactly what we want. This hand worked out the way one would hope it would. I don't have any problem with the way he played it after the flop.
Why? C-bet is a normal thing in this situation..
Both players played like idiots. They played not poker - they played roulette. It had no tactics, no logic in their game.
i dont think either of them played it bad. the guy who called after the flop he had a flush possible straight flush with a gutshot straight.
the only stupid thing he did was reraising after the river on a pair of tens but up till then he was fine
The guy who raised was only going on a c-bet.
how did either of them play it bad in your opinion?
My only objection for this hand is the initial open from the hero , he has approx 20bbs and he is shortstacked! I may did that open at least with QJs. The cbet is just fine and the sizing at 52% it's just ok for me, I assume he went with a bigger cbet due to the flush draw! they both check the turn and the dream came true on the river!I believe player 5 made the blocker bet in order to make the hero muck any 9x,7x hands or even any missed flush/straight draws.
I would go all in after the blocker bet if I were ''mega point in'' because flush draw is missed and I block Jx hands for a straight.
Cheers
I would play check / fold in this situation.

LOL. I bet you get upset whenever someone raises and/or 3bets you preflop. Both players played like idiots. They played not poker - they played roulette. It had no tactics, no logic in their game.
