Hello!

I am a tournament player at Carbon poker, trying to increase my bankroll as quickly/safely as I can. Currently have a total of about $136 solely from playing free rolls and $1.10s, no deposit. I cash in roughly half the $1.10s that I play, have won one. Played a $3.30 last night for the first time and again managed to run pretty deep (46th of 784). For whatever reason, I have been far less successful at cash games and I don't enjoy them as much, so the $1.10 --> $11 satellites have attracted my attention as a potentially faster-money making endeavor. However, I have never played in a $11 tournament before and don't feel like I can afford it without satellite entry - I have no idea what the skill level of the $11 field is like.

How do the $11 MTTs compare, in difficulty, to $1.10 or $3.30 tournaments? Can these $1.10 satellites be profitable? Or should I stick to the $1.10/$3.30?

Thanks!

I think it is best you stay playing micro limits to achieve a more solid bank . The level of the players $ 11 buyin is not so high, but certainly already is better than the players micro limits , then it makes more sense to keep playing until you get a better bank and trust to level up

You should definitly stick with those limits because your bank is very small. You will need both bank and skill to jump into higher levels

I dont see much more skill up there,
still maniacs, chasers and donks;)
maybe play the rare $11 but BRM should keep you in the smaller games
sattys are the way to go tho,
you should win enough times for cheap emough to get an idea what the $11 games are like:)

the $11 buy-in on Carbon is a Starbucks cup in the trash next to a SpeedWay cup in the trash.... Neither are dangerous yet both are in the same trash can... Careful with this idea of yours. Variance seems to increase in weight when trying to burn the candle on both ends. Which is what it sounds like you are trying to do.
