I struggle with understanding when to give and when not to give a free card. I understand that our objective in poker is to make the most money that we can... and that the free card can often help us maximize our profit by.

Should a player only give a free card to an opponent when the player has the nuts? When a player doesn't have the nuts, should he ever give a free card to his opponent?

Thank you in advance for the discussion!

If I have a good combination, I always try to give the enemy the opportunity to see a free card, maybe on the river, I can get from the opponent.

It depends on your playing style, and whether there are obvious draws on the board.

You sain "an opponent" so I assume you mean heads up...

So many times, a free card does not produce the expected or desired results. I give a free card, usually when i have a weak hand myself.

I usually give a free card if I think that the next card has a very small possibility of decreasing my hand value.

You mean that you have position, and they already checked on the flop/turn?

Giving opponents a chance to hit something for free can help if an opponent hitting that next card doesn't cause you trouble. For me it's always when I'm very strong, and think my opponent is looking for a reason to fold. It's not that often really. Here are some examples...

1) Paired board, and you flopped a full house. They checked, so they likely only have over cards. You'll likely shut down all the action by betting the flop here. It's a way ahead or way behind situation, with you in the way ahead spot(most of the time) and never folding. They probably only have 2 outs when they call.... or you have 1.

On the turn, always bet or raise. If they fold, then you were never getting anything out of them on that hand. If they call, they've usually decided that you don't have the full house and are willing to call a shove on the river. Shove the river.

2) You flop a set on a dry board. If there are no draws that they can reasonably have, and you don't expect them to have top or second pair, you likely can't get anything out of them until they catch a piece or they think they can bluff you off the hand.

I give a free card when I have the nuts or
figure out that a free card is in my favour
that my opponent chances are low to hit.
But luck is a big part in poker so be careful.

In most cases I give a free card to the opponent when I have nuts. This is one way to mislead the opponent.

Not always is better to give a free card, you need to consider your opponent's style of play it

I prefer not to give any opportunity for the vilians to see a free card.If they want to see, they have to call. And this call needs to be as much expensive as possible.

It really depends on what you want in that hand. If you think you need to play certain way against certain player, you should do that. You need to base your game on your opponent at the time.

At first glance, it may seem rather obscure. I suppose you studied the basics of the game. You study, right?
So you should know something about outs.
In this case, you should know that if the villain has a flush draw, he will have 9 outs. and you know that when you have 9 outs you can keep paying and sometimes even betting. In this case, if you put the villain in a variety of hands and understand that he may be in a request of 9 outs or more, he can win his hand on the turn or river. "Generally" you should not give a free card. it's only you realize that people are chasing their 9 or more rides without fear. and sometimes up to 8 exits as well.
your question, you have the best hand and ask yourself if you can give a free card. In this case, there is only one purpose to give a free card - to make the opponent's bet.
give a free letter or not will depend solely on your observations. So I will leave two players as examples one deserves and the other will not and the rest you will find out for yourself. A player who practices many bluffs deserves a free card because if he does not hit the turn or hit, he will bet and if he hits the river or does not hit, he will also bet. a player who does not deserve a free card even if vice versa sees the possibility that he is in search of 4 outs to win: he is that player who only shows the best hands, so you give him a chance to hit his hand for free and he will not put anything else in the pot unless he hits it - it's foolish. Good luck

Near nutted hands hands or the nuts are easy hands to give a free card. If you understand your opponents range there are countless situations to give a free card. Don't be afraid to get outdrawn. It will happen. If you know that your opponent can't call your raise when your ahead you should be checking hoping to allow them to bluff or catch something you have beat.

If you have a FH+ and the board is draw heavy. You want villain to have a flush or str draw and hit.
