I struggle with understanding when to give and when not to give a free card. I understand that our objective in poker is to make the most money that we can... and that the free card can often help us maximize our profit by.
Should a player only give a free card to an opponent when the player has the nuts? When a player doesn't have the nuts, should he ever give a free card to his opponent?
Thank you in advance for the discussion!
At first glance, it may seem rather obscure. I suppose you studied the basics of the game. You study, right?
So you should know something about outs.
In this case, you should know that if the villain has a flush draw, he will have 9 outs. and you know that when you have 9 outs you can keep paying and sometimes even betting. In this case, if you put the villain in a variety of
hands and understand that he may be in a request of 9 outs or more, he can win his hand on the turn or river. "Generally" you should not give a free card. it's only you realize that people are chasing their 9 or more rides without fear. and sometimes up to 8 exits as well.
your question, you have the best hand and ask yourself if you can give a free card. In this case, there is only one purpose to give a free card - to make the opponent's bet.
give a free letter or not will depend solely on your observations. So I will leave two players as examples one deserves and the other will not and the rest you will find out for yourself. A player who practices many bluffs deserves a free card because if he does not hit the turn or hit, he will bet and if he hits the river or does not hit, he will also bet. a player who does not deserve a free card even if vice versa sees the possibility that he is in search of 4 outs to win: he is that player who only shows the best hands, so you give him a chance to hit his hand for free and he will not put anything else in the pot unless he hits it - it's foolish. Good luck
