Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a general strategy for zoom tournaments? I did some searching and there are a few things I found. I was wondering if there are people on this forum that have some good advice? I normally play STTs and MTTs and really dislike zoom. I have to play because i won a free ticket.
I don't like zoom cash, because everyone plays so tight, but I played few
pokerstars zoom
freerolls just to try zoom format in a tournament and I have to say I liked it (for the same reason I don't like cash actually
). I started playing pretty standard at first, but then I realised that people are way too tight, even for a zoom. Not sure it will be the same for buyin tournament though. I tried more and more stealing with any playable cards when opening CO, BTN, SB, which was mostly successful. So my advice would be to adjust to the style of the play, especially when you see that people tend to play too tight. And when you see a flop, just be more cautious as you will face much more pocket pairs and broadway cards.
I didn't take this advice and busted deep 2 times by over pair vs set
