Starting hands

what starting hands do you prefer? write your options

Really depends on what are you playing..
Excepting premium hands, like AA, KK, QQ, when I m playing cash games or when I m deep in tournaments, in late positions I prefer suited connectors.
Also, you can do gr8 job with lower pairs. That feelin when you hit your set on the flop with 5's.

Of course it depends on the range you're playing in any given circumstance but generally speaking I like my starting hands to be paired or suited...

My favourite hands to play are pocket pairs and suited connectors, surely this is the same for everyone?

Premium hands are obviously the most comfortable to play with.

Hands you can almost always feel comfortable opening are mid to high pocket pairs, suited broadways and AK/AQ offsuit. Obviously you can open much wider depending on position and if there are antes in the pot.

Starter hands include;

Every hand is a starter depending on position and call value, then go with your gut.

aa kk qq ak.... with this hand you must play always.... when 4 or more players call before me l like to call with small conectors... and dont forget sometimes you just feel that you must call... without logical suport ;D call

As starting hands, I prefer to use about 20-25% of the starting hands chart.

This completely depends on position and the other players at the table. Other than the obvious huge hands I really like suited broadway card sand especially high suited Ax such as A10 suited and above. These types of hands can easily become the nuts and you usually don't feel married to them if the flop is not reassuring.

Starting hands are only as good as what the flop is.

My range of starting hands very much depends on who I'm playing (against nits I can open any two). And in the tournament depends on the stage and position!

I like to play either a wide range of starting hands or a tighter range depending on my opposition and what format I'm playing (cash/tourney)
