Hello everyone!
I hear a lot of people use the term "outer" a lot. "a two outer" or a "three outer." What does that mean? I know it's a dumb question and i'm sure it's something simple. I guess i'm in the right place to ask these types of questions rather than at the table right? All comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It means you have that many "outs" (cards that give you the best hand). Say you have AK and your opponent has KK on a Q369 rainbow board you have 3 outs (the 3 Aces). If you hit an Ace on the river you would have hit a 3 outer.

I seen this and laughed a little, but I grew up in a card playing family and forget sometimes that this stuff isn't just general knowledge. Yes, this is the perfect place to get these and other answers. Now go hit a sick 2 outer on someone for there stack.
