Hi, im mostly a SnG player but have been recently trying to pick up on some cash games. Started at 2nl fr, and absolutely hated it. Went back to SnG's and worked my way up to a BR big enough for 5nl cash games, which i liked better. Ive been watching some videos using the deucescracked free trial and generally the videos are much higher stakes, but i don try to watch some 25nl and 50nl vids and try to apply it to 5nl. I also noticed that they pretty much exclusively play 6-max and it seemed more exciting, playing more hands etc. So i tried 5nl 6-max and did alright but thought since i was just starting out that i should drop down to 2nl. Long story short, these are awful, raises have no value i still get 3-4 callers one hand in particular: I raise 4bb's w/ QJs get 2 callers, then a reraise so i lay it down, 2 guys end up going all in for ~$8 pot, the 3 better shows 72o and the other shows 56o. Anyways i guess i shouldn't be ranting this type of play it seems to be more profitable but i really like the more structured type play. So my question is, are these tables worth playing? It seems to me that they will only form bad habits not applicable to higher stakes games... The game was so wreckless that it really made it not interesting to play it.
Appreciate the help guys, like i said, im typically a SnG player but it seems like most of the CC community plays ring games so im trying to jump on that bandwagon...
