I have been grinding it out on the micro stakes tables recently,,,.2/.4 .5/.10 nlhe and ohama,,hi/lo..most play these like frs...all in,,silly raises,,and chasing anything down to the river..but ive noticed that if im patient,,watch my opponets,,i can usually isolate a player or two that bets on air hoping to hit,,and if i wait long enough,,folding dmn near everyting that costs too much to see..ill catch a monster hand,,mask it well and be able to double or triple up:) then i leave..and wait 30 mins or so and try to do it again..sometimes,,,i get caught, but it seems to be working,,,varience notwithstanding,,and i seem to be on a slow climb up:) anyone else have any good ideas for winning these things??? id surely love to hear em...

Sounds like you are on the right track. There are alot of stupid things going on in these games. Just watch yourself and play normal good poker and you will be ok.

Proabably best way is what you are doing at the microstakes, play tight, try to get in pots cheap and dont slowplay especially omaha hl as you mostly get paid off when they will call all ins drawing to the low;)

Yea, I like to sit out for a minute and observe the table first.

This helps you see who's tight/loose.

Then go after the loose ones with your good hands.

:)

In my experiences at the micros, one of the biggest things I have to keep in mind is being selective with bluffs. There's no greater collection of calling stations in a game than at the low stakes.

Thanks bro! The whole goal of the guide was to provoke serious thought into any situation you encounter in poker. As for med school still 2 years til I can apply with next year being brutal but just will keep plugging along!

The main thing I do when playing cash games is after I double or triple up I cash out and find a new table. on FT play rush poker and just stand up and reseat yourself. I find this a good way of preserving your cash. I only play one buyin a day so if i win 2 to 10 more buyins before I loose that one i am happy if i loose that one quickly then I wait untill the next day. I have seen many players playing 2 to 8 tables at a time and after 2 to 4 hours of play have only a little net money. just not worth my time to do that.
